Atticus Boy gets the hat trick

Sent Off the 4/5 favourite, Atticus Boy had made the journey north in search of some better ground. However the amount of rain forecast did not arrive, but the going remained good to firm and the decision was taken to run. He took quite a keen hold in the early stages of the race, as the gallop set was a sedate one, but jockey Stevie Donohoe was able to get him to relax nicely;y into the race. Two furlongs out he made his move, but Granite City Doc who had lead most the way did not give up without a fight, but the game Atticus Boy made sure it was his head that was in front on the line.

In the following race, his four year old half brother, Take A Turn ran a promising race to finish third.

Congratulations to his owners and breeders 21st Century Farms. Well done to his groom Shankar Dasaru, regular rider Sandeep Pawar and the rest of the team at Rathmoy Stables.
