Sent off the 7/2 favourite, Bold Lass was held up in mid-division by jockey William Buick. Asking a bit more of her from about two furlongs out, Bold Lass powered home in the last furlong in a driving finish with Luca Cumani-trained Joys of Spring, to secure a victory in this ultra-competitive handicap at Ascot.

Bold Lass was bred by her owner Mr. Bjorn Nielsen. She is by leading sire Sea The Stars out of the G1-placed, Listed winner My Branch. She is a half-sister to six winners including Champion Tante Rose and Listed winner Bay Tree.
