Lexington Empire back in the winners enclosure

Sent off 7/2 joint favourite, Daniel Muscutt was able to get a nice lead around and had him settled in a handy position. A furlong from home the leaders began the battle and Daniel remained very cool as the gap closed on him for a moment, but once he was switched around it, Lexington Empire was able to quicken up well, going on to score by half a length.
After the race trainer David Lanigan said "He did it well in what was a competitive race and he is a nice horse to look forward to next year."

Congratulations to his owners Middleham Park Racing, Ms M Delaney and Mr I Black. Well done to his groom Ali Sayed, his regular rider Louise Kennedy and the rest of the team at Rathmoy Stables.
