Light Of Joy makes it two from two

Posted on: 7th Jun 2018 by: David R. Lanigan: Racing

James Doyle took the ride on this occasion and she was sent off the 2/1 favourite. Ridden from a prominent position, Doyle made a steady move two furlongs from home to go on and take the lead a furlong out. Light Of Joy continued to stay in front, going on to win by one and a half lengths.

Following the race David Lanigan said "it was nice to get another win with her on her second start this year. She has strengthened and improved this winter and we will see what the handicapper does now, before we decide where to go next with her."

Congratulations to Flaxman Stables Ireland Limited, who bred and own Light Of Joy. Well done to her groom Helle Jess, regular rider Claire Fetherstonhaugh and all of the team at Rathmoy Stables.
