Wapping returned to his winning ways at Bath on Friday landing the 10 furlong Handicap under top weight. Sent off the 8/11 short-priced favourite, Wapping was settled in behind eventual runner-up Prendergast Hill before being shaken up two out from home and taking command a furlong out to claim victory by nearly a length.

Following the race, jockey Tom Queally said, "Wapping loves to hear his hooves rattle and the blinkers have helped him again."

Wapping is by US stallion Smart Strike, he is a half-brother to seven winners including G1 winner Gorella and LwG1p sire Porto Santo.

Congratulations to owner/breeders Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber. Well done to all of the team at Rathmoy Stables.
