Worth Waiting doubles up

Posted on: 26th Jun 2018 by: David R. Lanigan: Racing

Sent off the 8/11 favourite and ridden by Pat Cosgrave, Worth Waiting travelled smoothly into the race. However the race was ran at a very steady pace and when asked to quicken two furlongs out, she just took a while to gain her momentum, but she was doing her best work when she hit the front and won by a comfortable length and a quarter.

After the race David Lanigan said "It was a nice stepping stone and she will now step up to a mile and a half. We will look at something like the Aphrodite Stakes at Newmarket in July."

Congratulations to owner Saif Ali. Well done to her groom Sandeep Pawar, regular rider Louise Kennedy and all of th team at Rathmoy Stables.
